About Runway Liberia

 

Created by Junda Morris- Kennedy, Runway Liberia (RL) is the biggest event showcasing Liberian Fashion, Music & Arts on an international platform.

 

Runway Liberia serves as a collaborative catwalk and exhibition, highlighting the industry’s established and emerged Liberian and International designer. Runway Liberia, aims to create opportunities for emerging designers and the creative industry of Liberia, through our educational workshops, Zutin Marketplace and e-commerce trade.

Beyond the rubles of years of  endless wars and with the strong recovery of the Ebola virus, Runway Liberia, serve as a strong professionally produced platform to promote Liberian Fashion and Creative Industry across the global.

 

Runway Liberia is a multifaceted event established to promote the social, cultural and economic development initiatives of Liberia to a global audience through fashion and entertainment.

 

Runway Liberia Showcase will Feature top (Liberian) designers from Liberia and around the world presenting exquisite garments and accessories, World class entertainment from Liberian & International Acts and Exhibits of art and luxury products and services.

Our Track Record

 

Founder Junda Morris Kennedy has hosted, coordinated,  contributed expertise to and produced events for over 15 years. Events span from Miss Liberia Maryland, Miss Liberia USA, Miss Liberia Texas, Miss Liberia in America, Miss Sierra Leone DC, Miss Africa USA, Miss Africa International, Miss Africa Nebraska, African International Modeling Competition, Miss Guinea North America, World Championships of Performing Arts, Liberia Music Awards, Miss Tourism Liberia Pageant, Baltimore Fashion Week, Dayton Fashion Week, Couture Fashion Week and New Silk Road Model Competition in China.

 

The inaugural Runway Liberia event was the first sponsored event outside of Liberia sponsor by leading GSM company MTN/Lonestar Cell. The event attracted Liberian Ambassador Nathaniel Barnes and his wife plus it featured 15 top African Fashion Designers. The event award individuals that contributed significantly to Liberian Fashion, Music, and Culture.
